The country’s annual inflation remained at 12% in September, the same as in August, the Central Bureau of Statistics announced this week.
Annual inflation was 6.7% in September last year.
The monthly inflation rate for September was estimated at 0.5%, a decline of 0.2 percentage points over the August 2008 rate of 0.7%, which due to decreases recorded in the Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and other Fuels, as well as Transport indexes, the Bureau said in an email statement.
