Namibia's credit rating sound

On 24 October 2008, Fitch Ratings has affirmed Namibia’s long-term foreign currency Issuer Default Rating (IDR) at “BBB-” (BBB minus), long-term local currency IDR at “BBB" and short-term IDR at “F3”.The long-term IDRs have a stable outlook. The Country Ceiling is affirmed at ‘A’, reflecting its membership of a Common Monetary Area (CMA).
