Mr. Liu Runing, Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Namibia, and Mr. George Simataa, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Works and Transport of Namibia signed a design contract for a new hospital at Omuthiya , Oshikoto Region on 18 March, 2009.
The singing ceremony is witnessed by Mr. Kahijoro Kahuure, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Health and Social Services of Namibia.
The Chinese Government will fund the Hospital Project with a grant of RMB 70 million (US$10.2 million).
